Verify credentials at the source
Ask for the clinician’s full name and certifying specialty board. For U.S. plastic-surgery certification, use the American Board of Plastic Surgery verification tool. Check licensure with the relevant state medical board. Board certification, licensure and society membership are distinct facts.
Build a shortlist
Use the procedure and location finder above to build a shortlist from records with current source checks. Confirm credentials, availability and consultation details directly before making a decision.
Ask about experience with the exact procedure and concerns like yours, the facility, anesthesia arrangements and after-hours care. Review consented examples that match your starting anatomy.
Read reviews with context
Check dates, the procedure described and whether a review concerns consultation, recovery or a longer-term outcome. A star average cannot replace credential checks or clinical assessment. Individual testimonials do not establish complication rates.
Look for a clear explanation of risks and limitations rather than a promised perfect result. Pressure to book immediately is a reason to pause and resolve your questions.
Our ranking and review standard
We do not currently publish scored provider rankings, patient reviews or verified provider profiles. Future lists must identify their scope, selection criteria, verification date and commercial relationships. No provider has been assigned an invented score or endorsement.
A paid placement must be labeled and cannot be presented as an independent editorial ranking. See our methodology.
